Rebecca, 27, has lived in Quincy for 10 years, and recently left a boyfriend she was doing OPIODS with.

Clean from using opiods for three months, Rebecca says she is making her way the best she can.

October 2017: Recounting her history of homelessness Rebecca says, “Because of our opiate abuse, we ended up spending all our money on pills rather than on our bills, I sent my kid to go live with his dad because I knew things were going to get destroyed. I was dead inside. I wanted to be alive again, so I quit.”

“I have a lot of friends who are actually selling their ass on the street right now,” Rebecca said. “A lot of them are addicted to drugs. Me, personally, that’s something I’m not comfortable with. I really have to rely on the people around me. I try to have a give-and-take system. See what you got, see what I got, meet somewhere in the middle, and we'll make things happen. It's a long journey in the night, my friends. By the end of the night, I'm hoping that there's a beer in my hand and some good people around me and whatever the day was like will rush and roll off of me.”
